In the month of February 2017, Nathan Marona & I, Al Mirabella, tasked ourselves with writing an albums worth of songs together for FAWM (February Album Writing Month). Our rules were loose and we recorded almost every song on PHOBO on our telephones. If a song didn't live up to our expectation, it went on the album anyway, for the most part. I (Al) recorded two takes of every song and whichever one was better stuck with it (even when I goofed a note or when someone walked in). I think we both came out of this extended exercise as better songwriters.

We wrote all the songs on here, with the exception of Blackbird 2: Secret of the Ooze, which is sort of a mashup of Blackbird by the Beatles and Say Yes by Elliott Smith.
